Overview
Cloudiway's mailbox migration tool includes a dedicated distribution list migration feature for transferring distribution lists from Google Workspace to Office 365. This tool automates detection, matching, and provisioning of your distribution lists.

Create in O365
Access the Tool
Navigate to the Mail Migration area of your project and locate the "Distribution list" section.
Project → Mail Migration → Distribution list Populate the Migration List
Two Methods Available
Method 1: Automatic Detection
- 1. Click the Migration dropdown
- 2. Select Get List
- 3. The system automatically detects all distribution lists
Method 2: Manual Entry
- 1. Click the Manage dropdown
- 2. Choose Import from CSV or create entries individually
Configure Settings
Required Configuration
When using automatic detection, specify:
- • Source and target connectors: Your Google and Office 365 connectors
- • Target email format: How distribution list addresses should appear in Office 365
- • Matching rules: Use a rule other than "Mail Exact Match" for Office 365
- • Target domain: The domain name for new distribution lists
- • Optional prefix: Add a prefix to target distribution list names if needed
Provision Distribution Lists
Create in Office 365
- 1. Select the distribution lists you want to migrate
- 2. Click the Migration dropdown
- 3. Choose Pre-Processing
- 4. Cloudiway will create the target distribution lists in Office 365
