Root Cause

Disabled Google Drive Account

This error typically stems from a disabled Google Drive account attempting migration operations. When Google returns a 500 internal error during Drive operations, it usually indicates the user's Drive service is not accessible.

Possible Account States

  • • Google Drive service disabled for the user
  • • User account suspended or archived
  • • Account deleted during migration
  • • Organizational unit restrictions on Drive

Solution

Two Options Available

Option 1: Reactivate the Account

1

Access Google Admin Console and locate the user account.

2

Reactivate the account or re-enable Google Drive service.

3

Wait a few minutes, then restart the migration.

Option 2: Exclude the User

If the account is intentionally disabled or the data is not needed, exclude this user from the migration list and proceed with the remaining users.

Preprocessing Check

Run preprocessing on your user list before migration. This helps identify accounts with issues like disabled Drive access before starting the actual data transfer.
