Root Cause

Incorrect Connector Credentials

The credentials configured in the source connector for Google Groups migration are incorrect. The authentication to Google is failing due to invalid email address or password.

Common Causes

  • • Password was recently changed
  • • Incorrect password entered
  • • Account requires app-specific password
  • • Two-factor authentication enabled

Solution

Update Connector Credentials

1

Verify Credentials

Test your Google admin credentials by logging into the Google Admin Console directly.

2

Edit Source Connector

Navigate to your Google source connector in Cloudiway and update the email address and password fields.

3

Restart Get Groups

After saving the updated credentials, restart the Get Group task to retrieve your Google Groups.

Service Account Recommended

For Google Groups migration, consider using a service account with domain-wide delegation instead of user credentials. This avoids password expiration issues.
