Getting Started FAQ
How do I create a Cloudiway account?
Visit portal.cloudiway.com and click "Sign Up". Enter your email address, create a password, and verify your email. Your account includes a free trial with test migrations to evaluate the platform before purchasing licenses.
What permissions do I need to configure for Microsoft 365 migrations?
Create an EntraID (Azure AD) application with the required API permissions for your migration type. For mailbox migrations, you need Exchange permissions. For OneDrive/SharePoint, you need SharePoint and Sites permissions. The Cloudiway portal guides you through the exact permissions needed.
How do I find my SharePoint URL prefix?
Your SharePoint URL prefix is the part before ".sharepoint.com" in your SharePoint Online URL. For example, if your URL is "contoso.sharepoint.com", your prefix is "contoso". You can find this in the Microsoft 365 admin center or any SharePoint site URL.
What is included in the Cloudiway free trial?
The free trial includes 5 test migrations for each migration type (mail, files, Teams). You can test the full migration process including delta passes. Trial migrations are limited to smaller mailboxes/drives to evaluate the platform before purchasing production licenses.
How do I import users for migration?
Download the CSV template from the Cloudiway portal, fill in the source and target email addresses or usernames, and upload the file. Cloudiway validates the CSV and shows any errors before processing. You can also use auto-discovery to automatically map users.
