When to Use This

Understanding License Limits

The license limit setting controls the maximum number of licenses a project can consume. This is useful for organizations that want to:

Keep Limits When

  • • Budget control is important
  • • Multiple projects share licenses
  • • Prevent accidental over-consumption
  • • Running pilot migrations

Remove Limits When

  • • Running full production migration
  • • Single project using all licenses
  • • License count already purchased
  • • Avoid interruptions mid-migration

License Consumption

Setting the limit to zero doesn't give you unlimited licenses - it removes the per-project cap. You still need purchased licenses available in your account to run migrations.
