Root Cause

Incorrect Port Configuration

The Zimbra server rejects Cloudiway's connection requests because an incorrect port is configured in the migration platform. The server only accepts connections on specific IMAP ports.

143
Standard IMAP
Unencrypted
993
Secure IMAP
SSL/TLS encrypted

Solution

Configure Correct Port

1

Open Zimbra Connector Settings

Navigate to your Zimbra source connector configuration in the Cloudiway platform.

2

Update Port Setting

Change the port to either 143 (standard IMAP) or 993 (secure IMAP with SSL).

3

Enable SSL if Using 993

If you choose port 993, ensure the SSL/TLS option is enabled in the connector settings.

4

Save and Restart Migration

Save the connector configuration and restart the migration process.

Use Port 993 for Security

We recommend using port 993 with SSL encryption for secure email migration, especially when migrating over the internet.
