The "License Is Invalid" error occurs when there's a mismatch between the license type being used and the source being migrated. Each migration type requires its specific license.

Common Causes

  • • Using a File license for Mail migration
  • • Using a Mail license for Site migration
  • • Insufficient standard licenses available
  • • Using incompatible license for the source type

License Types

• Mail Licenses → Email migration
• File Licenses → OneDrive/Drive
• Site Licenses → SharePoint sites
• Teams Licenses → Teams/Groups

Solutions

Step 1: Verify License Type

Check that you purchased the correct license type for your migration:

Step 2: Check Available Licenses
