Root Cause

Missing Google Drive Audit

Before initiating migration, Google Drive audits must be performed. These audits allow the platform to catalog file owner IDs. Without this prerequisite, the system lacks the necessary ownership information to successfully transfer files.

Why This Happens

  • • File belongs to a user whose Drive wasn't audited
  • • Cloudiway needs owner ID to properly assign file ownership
  • • Without audit, the owner mapping is incomplete

Solution

Steps to Resolve

1

Identify File Owner

Determine which user owns the file mentioned in the error

2

Run Google Drive Audit

In Cloudiway, run an audit of that owner's Google Drive

3

Wait for Completion

Allow the audit to complete fully

4

Restart Migration

Restart the Google Sites migration - the file will now transfer successfully

Best Practice

Run Google Drive audits for all users before starting Google Sites migration to avoid this error during the migration process.
