Tenant Name
Finding Your Tenant Name
The tenant name is used to generate SharePoint and OneDrive URLs. It's the prefix that appears in your SharePoint site address.
Example
If your SharePoint URL is:
https://cloudiway.sharepoint.com Then your tenant name is: cloudiway
How to Find It
- 1. Open SharePoint from your Office 365 app launcher
- 2. Look at the URL in your browser
- 3. The tenant name is the part before
.sharepoint.com
Don't Include Extensions
contoso not contoso.onmicrosoft.com.
Client ID & Client Secret
Azure App Credentials
The Client App ID and Client Secret are generated through the Azure portal when you register an application. These credentials authenticate your Cloudiway connector for API access.
Client ID (Application ID)
A unique identifier (GUID) for your Azure AD application. Found in the Azure portal under App Registrations → Your App → Overview.
Client Secret
A secret key generated in Azure AD. Found under App Registrations → Your App → Certificates & secrets. Note: secrets expire, so check the expiration date.
Common Issues
- • Client secret has expired - generate a new one
- • Wrong tenant's credentials used
- • Insufficient API permissions granted
